Fund our work
Through our work, we aim to reduce inequalities in childhood,
ensure children and young people have a strong voice; enhance their
health and well-being and encourage positive and supportive family
and other environments.
To achieve these objectives, NCB leads on initiatives around
play, disabled children and special educational needs, education,
vulnerable children, health and well-being and early years. Our
work within these areas is designed to raise awareness of issues,
develop and share best practices and services for the sector and
translate policy and research.
To continue improving outcomes for children, we rely on the
generous donations of our sponsors.

the disabled children's sector in England, with links to the other

NCB plays an active role in supporting schools and the wider
education sector, with a focus on promoting the mental, physical
and social health of students.
Health and
well-being
This department is home for a number of programmes of work, and
individual projects, which address the well-being of children and
young people; the need to be safe and loved, free from harm, to
have a happy and healthy childhood, and the chance to fulfill their
potential.
Play
England
Play England works to give children and young people in England
regular access to free, inclusive, local play provision and play
space.
Vulnerable Children
The vulnerable children programme aims to improve the life
chances, outcomes and inclusion of potentially
marginalised/excluded children and young people, who with
their families, are likely to be in need of child welfare
services.
